So what is gout? Gout is the inflammation of your joints and cartilage because you’ve got too much uric acid in your system. So you may wonder well, great so what, what’s my next step. Your next step is very simple. Avoid high purine foods. High purine foods are mainly foods like organ meats, such as liver, but also pate you know kind of food.
Foods like the dark meat of a bird, say you know you want to eat chicken or turkey or duck, stay away from the dark meat. Instead choose the white meat, it’s less content in purine. Another thing you will want to stay away from at least for a little while is lamb. All those are high in purine, instead choose fish, white meat, and definitely increase your intake of raw foods and vegetables.
Those will help clear away the inflammation in your joints. One thing you will want to do is increase your intake of water as dehydration will also cause inflammation in your joints. Stay away please stay away from processed foods. Anything that has flour will create inflammation and will cause more pain if you are already suffering from gout.
